We’ve got an X-Serve here with 10.3 on it that is being used to share the home and groups folders out to users. The home folder is working just fine with permissions all as they should be, but the groups folder is giving me some trouble. The umask on the groups folder seems to be set at 022, which doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me for a volume where people are supposed to be able to share files. Is there a way to set the umask for these directories so that files stay accessible to the entire group rather than just the owner?

    Thanks,
    -Brian
