    hey folks,

without any obvious incident or event, an ibook running 10.3.8 all of a sudden stopped being able to successfully connect to an office file server from offsite using VaporSec (newest available version). no error messages – just says that racoon is running, but i can’t actually connect to or successfully ping the File Server.

    (i’ve included the logs below.)

i’ve tried removing all VaporSec files, as described in various forum posts here, i’ve tried deleting and reinstalling VaporSec. i created a new user account (in OSX), in case there was some user account corruption. installed new copy of VaporSec – same problems.

meanwhile, other computers running 10.3 are able to connect to the same File Server with the same settings via VaporSec.

any help would be greatly appreciated. and please let me know if you need more information.

    thanks.

    jonathan

i don’t quite understand what you mean by multiple IPs. associated with the computer itself or the file server it’s connecting to?

i’ve since reformatted the iBook’s hard drive and reinstalled everything and just experienced the SAME problem.

    very frustrating.

especially since other users continue to use the same version of vaporsec successfully from 10.3.

    any additional advice?

    thanks.
