Trouble with JavaForMacOSX105Update6 and instaDMG

Hey there,

I’m maintaining a 10.5 image with instaDMG 1.4b4, and the Java updates never presented me with a problem until update 6. I used to just have it in the workflow and it would install just fine. Now, with Update 6, it seems that the update isn’t running or something, and it doesn’t show up in the resultant image. I’m trying to recreate a new package using InstallEase and snapshots, but it’s giving me an error that it’s trying to copy a null object.

Has anyone else gotten Java Update 6 to work correctly on an instaDMG image, and if so, how’d you do it?

Hey there,
I’m personally not maintaining 10.5 images at this point so I can’t be of too much help, but please do try to use a more recent version of instadmg than 1.4b4. There will be less people using the older versions, and significant code cleanup and changes have happened since back then.

Thanks Allister. Updating to the 1.5rc1 fixed the problem (with the added bonus that it’s faster too!).
