Traffice shaping/Application network direction question.

I have an XServe running 10.4.4. It’s currently behind a router on a T1 and that services email (including web mail), file sharing, and FileMaker Pro sharing. I’d like to install a cable modem and attach it to the second ethernet port and use that network connection solely for rsync backups to and from other computers. Is there a way to restrict an application to only one network interface? Thanks in advance for any help.
