    Hi

    Was trying to get Sieve working on 10.4.3 and noticed this in usr/bin/cyrus/bin.

    timsieved.apple

    Does anyone know what it is and what it does and how it differs from timsieved.

    The 10.4.3 installer moves it to that name I believe, and adds the new timsieved daemon to that directory.

    A new install ( 10.4.0 -> 10.4.3 Combo Update ) doesn’t have that file. The stat date on the latest timsieved binary from Apple is ‘October 14 20:22’, and displays the following;
    “IMPLEMENTATION” “Cyrus timsieved v2.2.12-OS X 10.4.0”

    Also see my post at https://www.afp548.com/forum/viewtopic.php?showtopic=9707 for my full HOW-TO on installing avelsieve.

    Regards,

    Ian
