I am using 10.5 server as an OD master. It is also the primary user home directory location. I am using time machine to backup all of the user directories. While using the time machine interface I can browse to any folder and any file. However, as soon as I go ‘back in time’ all of the user folders become inaccessible and have a red circle with a white line in it (the ‘do not enter’ sign). I am logged in as an admin that has full POSIX write permissions on all folders (all folders have are owned by the ‘backup’ group). Any thoughts how to solve this? I have confirmed that if the user logs into the server he/she can access their time machine backups without a problem, I am looking for a way for the server admin to do this task for them.
