I read a post from a person with similar troubles that you were able to help with, but the same suggestions didn’t work for me. The log messages I get are:

Sep 24 20:54:45 static-64-61-16-18 postfix/local[6725]: fatal: connect #11 to subsystem private/0: No such file or directory
Sep 24 20:54:52 static-64-61-16-18 postfix/local[6741]: fatal: connect #11 to subsystem private/0: No such file or directory
Sep 24 20:54:53 static-64-61-16-18 postfix/local[6745]: fatal: connect #11 to subsystem private/0: No such file or directory
Sep 24 20:55:01 static-64-61-16-18 postfix/local[6757]: fatal: connect #11 to subsystem private/0: No such file or directory
Sep 24 20:55:07 static-64-61-16-18 postfix/local[6767]: fatal: connect #11 to subsystem private/0: No such file or directory
Sep 24 20:55:16 static-64-61-16-18 postfix/local[6784]: fatal: connect #11 to subsystem private/0: No such file or directory
Sep 24 20:55:23 static-64-61-16-18 postfix/local[6795]: fatal: connect #11 to subsystem private/0: No such file or directory

I don’t know what I’ve done to break it and I don’t know what to do to fix it. The mail que is filling up and users can send mail to the outside, but none of the incoming mail is getting delivered.

I have tried turning off the content filter and the virus filter hoping that would help, but it hasn’t. Any further suggestions?

For the record, I had this happen to me when I changed the Mail service settings via dragging a .plist file onto the Mail Settings window in Server Admin.

    The affected file is /private/etc/postfix/main.cf:

Scroll to the bottom of the config file.
Somehow, Server Admin changed the “mailbox_transport” value to “0” – it should be set to cyrus. Changing it back and restarting Mail services resumed normail mail operations for me.

    Whacky!
I spent an all-nighter again, relying on my own dumb head.
THEN i google the error-message and find this – duh!

Getting quite annoyed with tiger server
