Solaris SUN One Ldap Server and Snow Leopard woes…

Hello all,
I am having some not so fun issues with getting our Leopard and Snow Leopard clients to authenticate from the login window against our Solaris SUN One Ldap server.

Has anyone had any similar issues? Tips? Tricks?

The login window is a terrible troubleshooting tool, unfortunately.

Are you able to confirm that you have basic authentication for the users?
You can use su, or “dscl /Search authonly username password”, – if no response from the dscl command, the authentication succeeded.
