snow leopard clients and leopard server

Does anyone know if 10.6 clients can connect to 10.5 server? I am trying to log into my user account on 10.6 server and am getting the “can’t login at this time… an error occured” message. The clients are bound to open directory with directory utility.

Yes, 10.6 clients connect to 10.5 Server just fine. I also had the same error after upgrading my directory server to 10.6 Server and neither 10.5 or 10.6 clients could log in with the same error. Rolling the system back to 10.5 Server got things working again.

Its work fine for me too.Just try rolling back to 10.5 and will be fine then.Initially there are few hiccups but all will be fine once you get used to it.Please reply back once you are through with this issue.
