SMB Shares and AD authentication

I’m having the same problems. With me I have XP clients connecting to SMB shares via a logon script. Sometimes it connects, sometimes it tells me bad password. if it tells me bad password I can type in the run box the UNC path and it connects fine. I am just lost to what is going on.

We finally solved SMB clients in AD connection issue.

terminal on the OSX server
net join -w “domainname” -U “user”
