Is there any way to se my home folder to a remote SMB mount, without using an external directory service like AD or LDAP? here’s my situation, and I tried all sorts of things, and nothing seems to work.

I have a mount point out there:

    \\myserver\allan or
    smb://myserver/allan

I would like this mount point to be my home dir. I can get this mount point to auto mount using a mount record in my local netingo database, but I cannot figure out the right settings to get it to be my home folder. I’ve tried adding an NFSHomeDirectory line and a HomeDirectory line to my user record, but that didn’t work. Someone mentioned I need another line for HomeLoc, but I cannot find anything about that. If you know how to do this and can walk me through it, I would really appreciate it.

    Thanks,

    Allan
