Hello,
I am managing a Leopard Server (10.5.7) that is bound to AD, hosting AD workgroups. Basically we are supplying AD workgroups as ACL’s. This has been fine for some time now….
All of a sudden, SMB clients (Mac or PC) are seeing odd folders appear on the share (example: DFY260~9) these seem to appear when a file is transferred from a SMB client to the share. NOTE: This is not a problem with AFP clients… Obviously the tilde locks out access to the SMB client and is invisible to the AFP client…. If I remove the tilde, the directory is free and content is revealed. AFP clients then see that directory… w/o tilde… The questions stands, why do these just appear.
Any thoughts from anyone out there?
