    Hi All

Does anyone know how to suppress/remove the dialogue box that asks you if you “really want to open this application that came from the internet”? It is driving me to distraction and I want to remove it from my images.

When apple first introduced it I thought it smacked of Microsoft… it was such an MS thing to put into the GUI/Finder.

    Cheers

    Hey Tristan,

    http://gigaom.com/apple/disabling-launch-services-file-quarantine/
explains it well, and the creator of the linked folder action script thinks this is possibly ‘better'(it’s certainly more recent):

If you were able to add the appropriate info to com.apple.LaunchServices.QuarantineEvents for the things you chose to not be nagged about, that could work even better, since you’re not using either of the above methods to route around this ‘security’ measure. Have a specific app or situation that this happens which IS instadmg-specific?
