I’ve encountered an odd bug in an InstaDMG-generated image after deployment, regardless of whether I use DeployStudio or Disk Utility to push the image out.
After logging in to a createLionUser-created local account, the lovely iCloud Preference Pane comes up (haven’t tried to suppress that yet) but the menu bar does not populate with the foreground app’s menus (neither System Preferences nor Finder). Now this is not ideal, but a simple click on the System Preference window or the desktop or the Finder icon in the dock resolves this promptly. This is not the bug that concerns me.
When I install certain (yet-to-be-determined) software in my image, the icons in the sidebar of any finder window are generic document icons throughout. A core image with minimal software (10.7, combo-updated to 10.7.4) does not exhibit this problem. Does anyone know what file one of my installers might be touching to cause the problem? It happens in all accounts. Local MCX (or any MCX, for that matter) have not been applied. I’ve deployed it to two different machines (Mac mini, Mac Pro) with identical results. TIA.
