I am searching for a solution that will enable me to have a redundant server environment. I would use an xraid for the data redundancy for sure. I am looking to see if there is anyway to create a redundant xserver environment. I believe this is called a “server farm” in the PC world. I’m also pretty sure it can be done on NT. I would like to see any possibilities for the xserve.

    TIA

    Hello,

This is possible using the IP Failover feature of Mac OS X Server. To find out how to implement IP Failover, read the Mac OS X Server Administrator’s Guide which is available at:

You will also need multiple redundant bandwidth providers and a redundant data center to achieve maximum redundancy.

    HTH
