    Be aware that the 12-19 Security Update causes OS X Server 10.2.8 file trnasfer via Ethernet to slow to a snail’s pace.

    You must use the original 10.2.9 Update to revert back to before 12-19 Security Update.

    Inquire at Apple, they have not formally annouced an issue or remedied it.

    Same problem here, but only when transferring files from client to server.
    The other way, transferring files from server to client is working with normal speed.
