I am trying to find a way to set the region code on new machines that are netrestored. We currently have to run round to every machine and insert a dvd and set the region code to our region. Obviously this only has to happen once, but when we are deploying 150-200 machines at a time it can get unnecessarily time consuming. I have located a command that looks like it should do that job, but looking at the man page for it (/usr/bin/setregion) the synopsis says it has no command line interface and it is used by the dvd player to set the disc region code for a dvd drive.

All the machines will be deployed with at least 10.4.2.

Note: I am NOT wanting a multi-region crack, just wanting to be able to set the region code once using a script.

Yea, I’d like to know if you figure this one out – I suppose you could even use ARD to push out the command in mass.
