I’ve set up a PDC server on my home network just to fool around.(10.3.6) I own a few PC’s one is running 2000 and the other other XP. After setting everything up…I am able to copy the user profiles to OSX Server and map their home directory drive so it shows up at login so far so good.
However, windows complains it can not load the users profile at login. I’ve gone through the manual and Kbase and as far as I can tell it’s set up right. I feel this is some kind of windows problem. Working with windows is such a drag
Both PC’s have DNS on my network. What group do the remote login users need to be in? Is a login script required? I went though this last year and got it to work…but I forgot what I did.
Is this a known issue? Thanks for any help…

PS I set the Profiles folder thus: chmod 770 /Users/Profiles
root owns it and staff is the group…
