Retro 5.1 & Panther Server

Hello,

I’ve got a Panther Server and Retrospect 5.1. There was a great article here on backing up Postfix and Cyrus mail stores, so I’m good there.

First, is Retrospect 5.1 usable, or is there some fatal flaw with the current OS X Server (10.3.5)?

Secondly, I need to figure out what to backup for the Open Directory services and file services. Obviously, I’ll need to backup the /User directory and the sharepoint, but what about configuration files and such?

Excellent! Thanks for the pointers.

There was a question among the user comments about the script regarding restoration of the backed up OD files. Is it anything more complex than shutting down the services, then copying the backed up files to their original locations (provided in the script)?
