I’m setting up a new DP 1.2GHz Mac to be a FileMaker server. The OS is Jaguar. On the FM server I have running OS 9, my database files are on a Ram Disk which gives me lightning fast speed (even from an old G3 B&W). How do I set up a Ram Disk in Jaguar? I can’t find anything on it.

Apple doesn’t seem to supply any ready-made tools to accomplish this. However, you should be able to create a RAM disk using the command line. I would start out by reading the man pages on fstab, mount, and newfs.
