I work for a college that has over 15k users on a ldap server (Sun)
For the mac users we have been setting up account separately since there is only about 500 mac users. I would like to synchronize passwords with the sun server so that email and open directory passwords are the same. If I setup the server to connect to the sun directory server all 15k users would be able to connect and searching through this many users to make changes to an account is a pain. Is there a way to import just 500 accounts or so from the sun ldap server and keep them synchronized.
I’m running 10.39 server will be upgrading to Tiger at the end of the semester.
