    Greetings All,

I’ve been trying to setup the proxy in OS X Server 10.2 but have found that the documentation that Apple provides is very limited (big surprise). After I enabled the proxy in the Server Settings I go to the client machine and change the proxy setting in the browser to point to my OS X Server. However, even when I do this the proxy is never accessed.

In the documentation I cannot find any mention of the port used by the proxy so I suspect that this is the problem. In my old WebSTAR 4.X installation the proxy worked off of port 8000 but there is no response on port 8000 here. Any ideas?

    Regards,
    Harry

2 things: First, portscan your 10.2 server to see if the proxy service will show up under a port. If that doesnt work, you can run a proxy through apache by enable mod_proxy.c under the modules.
