We are having a procmail problem where we get the message:

Warning: connect #nn to subsystem private/procmail: connection refused

This started after a major network failure (the UPS powering a wiring closet failed). Although the server was restarted, it did not help. It seems likely to me that this is being caused by a corrupt or missing file somewhere or perhaps by a lock file due to the network failure. In any case, I am guessing this is not an unheard of problem. Can someone tell me what I need to clean up to get procmail working again? TIA.

FYI, I had this problem, too. Check your /etc/postfix/master.cf file for the procmail entry.

ServerAdmin probably re-wrote that file and took it out.
