Hi i am having issues with a printer pool that was created for a lab,
everything seems to be fine, but after a few prints, it will stop working,
the print jobs are sent to the server, but are never sent to the printer, and the jobs dissappear from all print queues as if it has printed successfully
recreating the printer pools and shares will ser everything in motion again, but i am only on site 3 days a week, and the drop out is happening on a daily basis, and i’d really prefer not to have to spend part of my time on site fixing printers over and over again.
the printers used are 2X HP 1300n
i dont know if this is an issue, but all the client machines will not see the printer pool on any protocol, unless it is shared via bonjour then the bonjour version that is viewable is shared via the server out to the clients (i hope that makes sense)
I am not the most experienced admin especially when it comes to “getting my hands dirty” on the unix side of things so any help or suggestions would be hugely appreciated.
edit: i forgot to say, all clients are running 10.4.8 as is the server.
