Is there a way ( through Workgroup Manager / Sharing I assume ) to prevent users from seeing, or browsing through other users home directories after initial login? Ideally I would like users ( students ) to login, and go directly to their home folder, instead of the way it seems to work by default ( they login, and see the list of other users on the network share ).

Thanks!

I have the same question, till 10.4 i could change permissions so only groups i wanted to see the users share at login.
With 10.4 I tried that but get al kinds of trouble if i change the default set up (permissions). I would like to be able to disable all the normal Users which are in the group staff no longer see the Users folder at login but only their own User folder.
Search for day’s but didn’t came up with a easy answer.

Isn’t theire a smart terminal command like: group staff can’t see user folder (lol)

Greetings
