PPTP on 10.2 to 10.3 Server

I have setup our 10.3 server for PPTP and L2TP access. My windows and 10.3 clients can connect and access the network from remote locations.

My 10.2 client can connect using PPTP but can not access services on the server. i get an unsupported protocol error in the VPN log on the server and an error -5000 on the client when trying to connect to AFP.

Are there any L2TP client applications for 10.2?
