possible MS publisher replacement

I know a lot of us work as or with print and graphics people.

Many of my clients get a lot of MS Publisher files from customers – these make my client’s lives pretty rough – Publisher apparently sucks, but is too common to ignore.

However – I just found a thing called Ragtime (ragtime-online.de, if the site is back up) which has a free non-commercial option – looks like it might replace Publisher pretty well.

Anyone tried this? If you do try it, can you post your results/opinions here?
