    Has anyone else noticed that Mac OS X Server 10.4 ships with MySQL v4.1.10a but PHP was compiled against MySQL 3.23.49 – meaning that PHP cannot even connect to MySQL?

    That’ll be the client api version, it shouldn’t have any problems talking to the 4.1.10a server.
