I’m having an issue with PHDs in our AD/OD setup. We have a brand new setup of Leopard 10.5.8 servers with fairly new intel iMacs. Our PHDs only sync preferences from the library, so settings like home pages and sidebar settings follow them. Their “home directory” mounts as a sharepoint on the desktop and users manually drag data to it, much like on a PC.
At least once a day, we have a user who logs in who says their whole entire home directory synced down from the server. We ONLY have login/logout settings containing those few settings. No background syncing going at. Also, when the iMacs turn on, it takes about ten seconds for the directory status light to turn green at the login screen. DNS seems tip top.
Any suggestions?
