PasswordService: incorrect digest response

I’m getting this error on my server repeating over and over. Anyone know what it means:

PasswordService: incorrect digest response

10.3.7 Server.

We are getting this too, it’s on a server with an internal IP, and it happens repetively, so it seems unlikely a user that keeps trying and trying for hours and hours. Can anyone think of a process or something else that might be trying to connect to the server?
