Password In Mail – 10.2 server

excusing my “new-bility” – I am trying to setup 10.2. server and my own Mail server. I believe I have set everything up correctly yet when I try to get mail it keeps asking for password. Have I not done something I needed to do somewhere?

Hi,

i have solved the problem:
You must make sure that the mailserver entry of your user matches
EXACTLY the host name.

In my case i have “imacserver” in the users settings – the hostname
of my server is “imacserver.ujpeters.de” – when i changed the user settings to “imacserver.ujpeters.de” everything works!
