I’m new to VPN and trying to get it running on a test box. Its running 10.3.3 server and has a public IP. I’d like to setup L2TP. I’ve followed the guidelines and read discussions and I believe it is setup *almost* correctly. The server is wide open to the client.
My client is a PowerBook running 10.3.3 being NAT.
The thing I find odd is the ports for L2TP don’t seem to be accessible, mainly 1701. I can’t access the ports from the server itself or remotely. I am not running a firewall on the server end. There is a firewall on the router on the client end. I’ve gotta be missing something painfully simple. Ideas anyone?
