My 10.3.5 Panther mail server crashed this morning, and now when I go into Server Admin, I get the following message when I try to view the IMAP and POP logs…

“A service has encountered an error.

Try to refresh the view (jeeves.local/Mail). Report the problem to the administrator if it persists. (File not present at path)”

Anyone have a clue what I can do next.

OK, the s#$% is getting a little deeper.

I now have certain users that cannot get any mail via POP but it comes flying in via IMAP.

I am getting these entries in the log for those users when they check via POP…

    Oct 12 10:06:52 jeeves pop3d[2086]: IOERROR: user.bhanover zero index record 2366/2726
    Oct 12 10:09:00 jeeves pop3d[447]: IOERROR: user.ksherry zero index record 3/54

Obviously there’s a problem with certain users, but I have no clue as to how to fix it. Any help would be appreciated.
