    Hi,

I’m trying to make package with Leopard PackageMaker (3.0.1). I’ve made Owner, Group and mode how I want them to be.
Now when I build this package, PackageMaker runs these over, same way that “Apply Recommendations” does. Is there a way to tell this PackageMaker not to change my settings.

    Thanks

Leopard’s PackageMaker spontaneously changes your project’s settings without reason or warning on a fairly regular basis. Nobody at Apple has offered a solution more helpful than “file a bug” that I’m aware of, but you can check the mailing list.

Is there any other package utility that can do the job. I need to make one simple package to share with ARD. Package should be installable for 10.4 an 10.5.

    Thanks

Tiger’s version was slightly less buggy, and then there’s Iceberg. Otherwise you’ll have to do it on the command line sans project file.

    Thanks, Iceberg did the trick.
