This has just started happening in the last few days (pretty much around the time since I got kerberos working for OSX clients. The OS9 clients all use guest access (OS9 is going away very soon).

They can mount the first share fine. When they go through the chooser to mount another share from same server they get a “No Response from the Server” dialog. The server is still there, and they can use an alias from Recent servers to connect with no problems at all.

Anyone have any ideas what is going on here?

Don’t feel bad. The same exact thing happened in my environment on my Xserve. I had all of my OS 9 users create aliases to the shares that they need on my Xserve and use those to connect.

I have the server set up to accept any method of authentication, but that doesn’t seem to be the trick. No one has been able to answer this one for me.

I came up with a very simple way to eliminate the problem though…I’m just gonna keep upgrading people to OS X as fast as I can! Smile

Thanks, that fixed things up. Now I have to go install on 50+ machines … I really wish apple would actually make these sort of updates available for seperate download as an OS9 update!!!
