Are there any “easy” instructions around for setting up SSL with Panther Server Mail?

Also, I know with self signed certs on web pages, you get messages from your browser when you load them. Is the same true with mail? If not, then Ideally i’d just make my own certs for my mail servers. I’ve never dealt with SSL mail before so I could use a bit of a crash course. I do have one cert I am paying for, that is for a subdmain of [sub].[domain].com But the mail server doesn’t really even look at the domain so could i technically use that cert for the server even though the mail isn’t actually addressed to that exact domain?

I know my questions are a bit of a jumble. But I’ve been meaning to look into this for too long. I just can’t stand the idea of my passwords flying around all over the internet in plain text anymore!
