We currently have a Windoze 2000 Server, serving as our PDC at our office location.

I would like to know a way I can configure the OS X Server to be the PDC and authenicate with the Windows 2000 PDC at our other locations.

There has got to be a way to first authenticate or trnasfer the AD to the OS X server then proceed.

Any help or direction would be great

OS X Server can only act as a Windows NT-style domain controller, not as an Active Directory domain controller.

Can I get the OS X Server to at least replicate with the 2000 PDC to get all the user accounts and info to the OS X Server?

Would like better access to the Mac server by our other offices without having to input all the info and passwords.

I don’t understand why you want to. If a kerberos trust exists you just leave your accounts where they are, on the AD domain controllers. he Macs will be able to access the info just fine (groups tend to be a different matter)

No, users cannot log onto the OS X server via the AD, thats my point.

In order to have users log into the OS X server, account information for that user must be there. User accounts, company-wide, reside on the 2000 PDC (AD).

Currently, I have input our local users in the OS X server, it would be great to have users log in the same way, with the same corporate passwords.

    Am I making sense?

    Explain the AD plug-in

I have only had the OS X Server Essentials training. Have 15+ years experience with Macs though.

    Thanks
