    Hiya

I have activated the Open Directory Service on the Xserve and set up a directory master. I now need to create a new database for the program addressbook4ldap2. I have not got apple remote desktop or similar so I need to know how to set up the database using terminal or similar.

    Does anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks
    Mike

I’m not sure you really want to create a new database… Setting up Open Directory on OS X Server will have created the schema for you – the point of having a directory structure is to have one directory – in essence so you only have to change details in one location. If you’re simply looking to add user accounts, or contact information into your structure take a look at this script – https://www.afp548.com/filemgmt/index.php?id=31

    Cheers,
    Andrina

    Hiya Andrina

    Aparently the directory
    /var/db/openldap/addressbook-data

needs to be created for the program AddressBook4ldap2 to work correctly. This was taken from the publishers website. I don’t know if I asked the wrong question or not though! 😀 Do you have any tips?

    Thanks
    Mike
