A annoying problem we have had concerns the propogation of Open Directory group names to Windows Servers connected to a OS X Panther PDC. We can apply user level permissions to files,etc on windows servers, however groups are not available. It seems that SAMBA is not properly (or not configured to) map group names that exist in the OD. I have read there is a way to make static mappings, however that does defeat the purpose of centralized directory. Any suggestions regarding this would be greatly appreciated.
