I have an odd workgroup problem.
We have an OS X server on our books and I’ve never seen this one…
Server Admin connects from anywhere and when connected shows the servers DNS entry which we connected with mail.XXX.com
Now workgroup connects with the ame domain but when connected reverts to nameserver.XXX.com
DNS + Revere DNS appear to be OK changeip -checkhostname comes up with a qualified nameserver.XXX.com for DNS + Host name
Obviously mail.XXX.com is set in the DNS server which is running and functioning correctly
If I revert to ip address’
Server admin stays with the outside IP addres but…
Workgroup reverts to the internal ip address 192.168.1.1 once connected which is OK until you want to connect… how can you connect to 192.168.1.1 … you can’t it should be storing the external IP…..
Strange…
Never seen this before…
Any Idea’s ???
