is there any way to get the password service to keep a record of the IPs from which authentication attempts are coming from? I’ve got a situation where a handful of users are authenticating every 2-3 minutes.

secure.log doesn’t or isn’t keeping track of this
asl.log doesn’t or isn’t keeping track of this
and nothing in the directoryservices logs.

I’ve also tried checking out the logs on the servers bound to the Master and no luck there either.
Quote by: MacTroll[p]Sadly PWS doesn’t currently have that functionality.

The only way, and this is ugly, is to packet trace where the requests are coming from.[/p]
Man, that is ugly. Hope its added to Leopard because it would come in really handy…

Can you recommend any packet sniffer? Have only done a limited amount of that…
