OD group integration with windows XP client

I am having a serious issue adding an open directory group of users to the local administrators group on windows XP clients. I am able to add individual users and query both the users and groups from the open directory server, however, when I go to add a group in the same manner I add an individual user, I receive an error. The error is as follows: “Information returned from the object picker for object (group I am trying to add) was incomplete. The object will not be processed.”

I am stuck, it does not make sense to me that I cannot add a group but can add an individual user successfully.
