I’m sure this is an extremely basic question. I don’t understand OD/LDAP/Active Directory. I’ve got a mac mini I use as a home media server. I mistakenly added a login item using System Preferences and now the account can’t login locally. It is no longer recognized as a valid local account, but I can still check email, access wiki’s, etc. When I login as root, WorkGroup Manager says the account only exists in ldap://127.0.0.1 and won’t let me login locally. How can I convert the account back to allow local access, and maintain access to email, calendar, etc.?

    Thanks

    Jeff

    Hi,

Can you tell me what happens after you login? How do you check youre email, access wiki’s when logging in does not work? Is OS X Server installed on your mac mini?
It seems unlikely that this happened only by adding a login item, can you recollect other changes you made?

    Best,

    Paul
