    We have a couple of OS X (10.3.3) machines that need to have static IPs but retain the ability to log on to Panther Server and mount home directories. It seems that when the network configuration is set this way only local users can log on to that machine. WIth the DHCP assigned address it works fine but of course defeats the purpose of a manually assigned IP.

    Can someone help solve this problem? TIA.

    Never mind. I figured it out. Even though the addresses are static they must be included in a DHCP defined range.
