I’m following the article listed here on making a 10.2 server a LDAP based PDC. I’m stuck at one part…. When I do the command “sudo niutil -list / /machines” nothing happens. I enter my password and it just sits there, I then have to control, C.

Any ideas why this is happening?

    Thanks for the reply.

    In this article:
    https://www.afp548.com/Articles/Jaguar/sambapdc.html

it tells me to setup Open Direc. “Stored and access locally in user records”, why is that?
I did that and now when I run that command it shows :
    41 localhost
    42 broadcasthost

but when I do the hostname command in the terminal it says server1 (which should be the real host name). I think I may have somehow messed up my netinfo database now when I restart it pauses on netinfo services for a min.
