New User Home directories not being created…

I have a Mac OS 10.3.7 Server and for some reason when I create a new account on the system setup the correct path to where the home directory will be created it does NOT get created when using these three methods: upon first login from the mac, when usng the create home in workgroup manager, at the CLI using createhomedir -a

This used to work just fine an then one day it stopped. I have to manually create the home directory from the command line prompt.

The users are kept in an OD Master and the home directories are on a local hard drive.

Any ideas?

I’m please to say you are no alone with this problem. I have the same problem on both my servers. Both runing 10.4.7. Were fine 6 months ago, now will not create home directories.

I have checked the DNS and everytihng seems fine.
