Hi All,
I have an OS X Tiger server running, which was an UIP from OSX 10.2.8, predominantly serving windows clients, and websrving/php/mySQL etc.
Had some issues with Netinfo a while back (details here) and I find myself with the current odd situation – I don’t appear to be able to migrate the Netinfo setup to LDAP.
In Server Admin Overview it shows this…

…but in the Netinfo Migrate Area it reports this…

So I’m wondering if it’s related to this in Workgroup Manager…
This is my local path (ie where I go to edit Local server users

and this is where all my external users are

Notice how the local domain appears to be a subdirectory of the external (Netinfo/root) domain? (Tesla is the name of the server BTW)
– is that normal? From memory I’m pretty sure it didn’t use to be like that, and I don;t appear to be able to tell it to migrate, cause it reckons Netinfo isn’t running, when for clients it’s working fine.
Any advice from more experienced sysadmins would be helpful. I actually want to migrate to LDAP ASAP.
Thanks
Steven
