Netboot, networked home folders…!?

I think I’m not understanding this whole concept.

I have an Xserve running 10.3.9. I create users, and set their home folders in Workgroup Manager… but how do I make this their *real* home folder when they log in from a machine on the network?

Do I really have to set up the whole Netboot thing?

Netboot is having a system disc image on a server, then having clients boot from the image on the server. Is that what you are trying to do? give us more of your configuration and what you are trying to do.
