Under the Open DIrectory tab in Server Admin:
Open Directory is: Open Directory master
    LDAP Server is: Running
    Password Server is: Running
    Kerberos is: Running

    LDAP search base: dc=dslIPADDRESS,dc=myc1,dc=dsl,dc=speakeasy,dc=net
    Kerberos Realm: net.mydomain.com

So, set the server up and for some reason it seems to prefer the second ethernet jack- all the Kereberos Server log items use the IP associated with the second ethernet connection. Though, changeip -checkhostname passes as the server has correct forward and reverse DNS for the primary connection. The LDAP search base also shows that info from the DSL connection on the second ethernet port. I don’t understand why that info is there, and I think that should reflect the primary connection DNS, which will remain static, while that address and connection will go away.

So- how would I fix that?
