I am having a problem setting up my Xserve to use multiple SSL server certificates. I am using OS X 10.2.5

No matter what domain I try to access, the Xserve always sends the same certificate, resulting in a browser error message. (certificate name does not match the domain name)

When you click to view the certificate… the browser is correct… Xserve is sending the wrong certificate….

After playing around with this for several hours I discovered that there was a pattern to which certificate the Xserve seems to send by default.

After deleting and re-adding my port 443 entires several times… I found that by changing the order in which I added them changed things, the first port 443 entry that you add will always be the default certificate that is sent….

It is as if the other certificates do not exist and it only sends the very first certificate that I added. (creating a browser error certificate name does not match domain name)

Has anyone had a problem similar to this ?

Has anyone got multiple SSL certificates running on your Xserve ?

Any ideas would could be causing this problem ?

    🙁

Not sure I understand how it is possible to give each virtual web a seperate IP address…. The Xserve only has 2 NIC interfaces…. 1 is on the WAN side of the network and the other on the LAN side of the network.

I could change one the the sites to the LAN IP address, but I am not sure what good this would do because that would make it not accessable from the WAN side of the network ??

Or am I missing something here ??

    Thanks
